Rainraps

RAINRAPS started as a simple idea on a rainy day. Stacy Struminger, a Jersey girl transplanted to Richmond, VA, had long seen the need for a more stylish, lightweight, waterproof accessory in the often wet and humid Richmond climate.

In the spring of 2011, a weeklong rainstorm left Stacy frustrated by the lack of a fashionable, waterproof garment in her wardrobe. Searching her coat closet in vain, Stacy had the inspiration for a waterproof wrap that was not only utilitarian but also stylish.

Sharing her idea with her best friend, Rachel Teyssier, they decided together to make the vision a reality.

Hence, a revolution in the development of fashionable water repellent outerwear began and RAINRAPS was developed.

The RAINRAP

The RAINRAP is an innovative accessory for the practical and fashion-conscious consumer.  The RAINRAP is a fashionable alternative to traditional bulky rain gear. The design of the RAINRAP combines the popular style of the pashmina and wrap.  The RAINRAP is water-repellent, reversible, lightweight, fast-drying and easy to store (folds up in its' matching travel pouch to fit in a handbag and suitcase). The versatility of the RAINRAP makes it a fashion accessory that can be worn all year round.
